Chenay Bay Beach Resort and Restaurant   is a popular place with about 35 small bungalows to choose from. Some are sea-facing, while others have a garden view.   As of early 2023, the Chenay Bay Restaurant is serving breakfast and lunch, and food trucks have been brought in as a temporary solution.  We expect management will make further improvement later in 2023. Chenay Bay is for travelers who enjoy being around lots of other people, hanging out at a bar which can often get loud with live music, and generally looking for a resort feel.  The resort is located on the east end of the island. It’s a pretty good beach for snorkeling and  renting kayaks ,   stand up paddle boarding   and other   water sports and activities . It has a grassy bottom close to shore; this makes a nice environment for starfish, conch and sea turtles but may not please everyone looking for sandy-bottom only beach. Turtle Beach St. Croix is  voted one of the top 10 prettiest beaches in the world.   Located on Buck Island 1.5 miles off the coast of St Croix.    It is simply stunning ….no other word can describe it better!  It is a  long stretch of sugary white sand and crystal clear waters . Lay on the powdery sand and soak up the sun’s rays. It’s a great spot for swimming and Buck Island snorkeling because the currents here are not strong.
